Baby K’tan, the popular makers of double-sling carriers, is introducing a new 100% organic version. Presented in a beautiful un-dyed natural color, each organic cotton carrier is azo dye-free, chemical-free and certified to organic and baby safety standards. From the site,
“The Baby K’tan has added security and back support as compared to the traditional sling, and added comfort and ease of use as compared to the traditional front carrier. Our unique design offers the wearer a 100% cotton carrier with NO buckles, snaps, rings or hardware, that otherwise make baby wearing complicated and uncomfortable. Our adjustable back support band offers the wearer extra back support and makes it easy to adjust baby or toddler’s weight distribution on both shoulders.”
We have a harness system with buckles and such at home — but I would love to give the Baby K’tan version a shot. Anyone else have good sucess with it?
You can pre-order the organic version here.

I know friends who use it – I haven’t yet. Definitely give it a go over the clipety type of carrier – too fussy to use!
The organic looks lovely, though out-ward facing baby is less desirable as they get over stimulated and prefer to look on their own terms, then cuddle into Mom.

P.S I use baby wearing as a wonderful way to reduce our use of diapers with baby pottying – it’s wonderful and great for the environment – LESS diapers to buy or wash!

We’ve had great success. we don’t have the organic but i love my cotton pink k’tan. i have to say, my two favorite things are that it is super easy to use and i can throw it in my wash any time. nina
